Robin Kwong
Newsroom Innovation Chief, The Wall Street Journal
UK
We first ran into this guy in 2017 when we profiled him as part of our Leading Millennials series. Back then, he was the Special Projects Editor at the FT, which meant that he was responsible for driving experimentation in the newsroom. We’d love to have that job too.
Today, Robin is at the WSJ as its Newsroom Innovation Chief, which means he runs a team of devs and designers to test new ideas through prototyping.
We’re keen to learn how the WSJ does this — we can all use that knowledge — although secretly, we’d like to get him to spill the beans on new products they’re working on.
This session would be especially useful if you’re looking for ways to build a testing mindset in your newsroom.
